Haha! Okay, the rest of the song has no relevance. Only the first line.. But in order to get the tune in your head, I typed out the whole verse..
Anyway, yes, I was super lucky. haha!
The disney peepes went for supper after the recruitment drive thing.. I'm really happy to be part of SU 14 Disney. 'Cos I really enjoyed myself. =) Oh yes, back to supper.. it was nearly 2am and we walked back from "EXTENSION" (the supper place beside City Harvest Church). Heh. A group of us live within hall 10-16 and there were 2 ways to get back to the halls.. I decided to follow one group that walked the other, more secluded way.. While the others decided to go the other way. Chee wee and Edwin kept asking us to walk the other way, but I was adamant in walking the quieter way.. heh..
The five of us were happily walking up the hill, talking and just enjoying the night breeze.. We saw something jump across the road and I said it was a frog... But, we realised it was a grasshopper. hurhur. Then after a while.. Something bit my left foot.. And my immediate reaction was "OUCH, ouch, ouch..." not knowing what bit me (I thought it was a red ant or something that sort) And the other two girls screamed upon seeing the long, black, skinny thingey that jumped/wriggled off my foot. Let's call it "blackie". Blackie was about 10cm long.. And we realised it was a centipede (cos it was too long to be a milipede) heh..
Then the other two guys said "Shit, centipede.. Better go and see doctor." I wasn't afraid at first but their reaction kind freaked me out. Ahaa.. Although there was only a small dot on my foot, it was quite stingy and pain.. ahaha. I could feel the part numbing up.. "Eh, better go and see doctor, it's poisonous. That time my man got evacuted out of camp because he got bitten by a centipede. He was hospitalized." Gosh! It freaked me out even more.. Then I asked a couple of stupid questions, "Huh, so serious ah.. will i die.." Then i called chee wee to ask where the nearest clinic was..
Elvin cycled me out to the main road.. Then chee wee asked me to wait there cos Aikleong went to borrow a car. HEH. At the same time i messaged joe and cher to pray that nothing serious will happen.. After waiting for 5 minutes or so, Qifeng and Aikleong (thank you very much!!!) came in Si Qiang's (thank you for praying too) vehicle and sent me to the clinic. heh. We went to 2 supposedly 24 hour clinics in the jurong area... But both were closed! So we went all the way to the one opposite bukit gombak mrt station..
The foot was quite red around the bitten area and slightly swollen.. All the doctor did was "clean up" the wound and bandage it. heh. I came out of the room laughing because it was quite Kua-Zhang to dress a seemingly small bite.. hurhur.. Then he gave me 5 different medication and a referral letter to visit the hospital (just in case i get breatheless/ feverish). haha! And guess how much the visit to the doctor was? IT WAS $69!!!! SIAO! EXPENSIVE! (the consultation fee itself was 50 bucks!)
But, I thank God nothing serious happened! hehe.. I'm well and alive.. =) =) =) And I even went to play softball with my hall mates! Yay, my God watches over me!
