Well, that place reminded me of the time we sat at the river side (after sentosa, before Waruku)... To enjoy the breeze and stare at the G-Max Swing... where I made my "loudest" cheer.. :)
Central's a pretty boring place... I sat at Burger King to read Victory over Darkness in chinese (in preparation for my EA trip) before I went down to Simei to meet Constance. We had a heart to heart talk and we talked about something that got us thinking about life and death and how fragile life is... Today's sermon was apt that we should not ask when God is coming back, but we should live our lives with a purpose as if God is coming back tomorrow.
We went for the Hillsong United Concert together (with her church friends). Whar.. the concert was awesome mann.. It was packed with youths. And it was a 2 hour Praise and Worship session for me (for most of us I guess). The band was extremely tight. We jumped, we clapped, we lifted our hands. When I saw all the hands raised during worship.. I was like "Wow, is this what heaven will be like? Where we can praise and worship God so freely..." Yea, and the presence of God was there.. ;) Well it also reminded me of the Hillsong conference I attended last year!

I Need To Be Strong
Yes, I need to be strong... for myself, for you, for everyone else.
Sometimes I don't get everything I want... Most of the time I do (eventually). But in recent years, I don't. Maybe that's how God is moulding me to be stronger person... Maybe that's the way I learn to see things from a different perspective and become more matured. Perhaps.
Its hard for me (sometimes). I know it's harder for y being away from y loved ones. My heart sinks when y are so upset... and there's nothing much I can do. I'll pray. I'll keep praying. I've been praying. Because I believe God cares and He answers.
I'm not complaining. I'm very happy where I am. I just need to get out of my mould and embrace situations when they come. It's another internal struggle!
I need to be strong... even when it hurts.

Mind Versus the Heart
According to Dictionary.com, The mind (in a human or other conscious being) the element, part, substance, or process that reasons, thinks, feels, wills, perceives, judges, etc
The heart is the center of emotion, esp. as contrasted to the head as the center of the intellect
Well, if my mind is not working, if it is bored, I WILL think a lot and my heart aches.
So which is better? The heart or the mind?
I think it is better to keep the mind occupied.
I know I have a God who keeps me sane.
It's Another Holiday.
I made cheesy mushroom omelette for myself just now. Eh.. I think the washed clothes smells of oil and I think my mum will "kill" me. I made chicken mushroom soup (the creamy kind) for my parents on saturday. My maiden attempt in cooking. Well, they were super irritating cos they kept teasing me and making fun of me. But I kinda enjoyed it. Well, that's love isn't it. I'm glad it tasted way better than I thought it would have.
It's another holiday today.
Nothing special.
Wished it could be special though.
URGH.
I shall stop ranting.
Nothing's gonna change even if I keep complaining.
Cheryl (chia) asked me out.
I hope it'll make me less emotional.

Andrea's 21st
We celebrated the Queen's Birthday yesterday. Prior to that, Jasmine (boey) and I went to support Team R-age. Heh. Well, we just sat at the spectator's stand. Cheered when they scored, sighed when they missed a shot, gasped when they fell. I was pretty bored acutally. But I think the crowd really made a difference to their morale and all. Wished you were playing. Haha. How ironic right, I went there to support the team when you were not playing.

The girls from church.After the party, the "87" kids went to Clarke Quay's Breworks to chill out. Joseph and Christopher had cars so it made travelling much much easier. :) I really like hanging out with them. When I hang out with them, zhi always exclaims "OH my gosh Yi, I'm so happy you are finally hanging out with us!" That's so sweet right.
Hmm... in an all-so-familiar clarke quay... I was just reminded of a few places we visited in the past... And well, that got me a little emotional. BIG SIGH. But well, I thank God for friends like them to keep me company. Oh wells, see you very soon.

Saturday, May 10, 2008 The people that make my UNI life fun! I thank God for all of them. :) I had two job interviews this week. Both went well... And I'm gonna start work on MONDAY for the first boss! YAY. I'm very excited. I'm thankful that God gave me a boss who is flexible with my vacation plans. That means, I can go for the RETREAT! I went K-boxing with my floorball friends yesterday. We went to this place at Chinatown where we only had to pay $10 for free flow of drinks and tibits and a bowl of sharks fin soup for 5 hours. Good deal eh! HOWEVER, the place was fully booked when we arrived at 2pm. So we (5 of us) had to pay $80 for a room originally meant for 8 people, with only 2 sets of tibits, free flow of drinks, one bowl of sharks fin soup and an EXTREMELY HUGE room as big as a living room with comfortable sofas. GOOD DEAL.
We celebrated my grandma's birthday yesterday... heh.
